Description

Edifier R990BT 2.0 Active 24W Multimedia Speaker for Home & Office Sound

Bring clear, room-filling audio to your everyday listening with the Edifier R990BT 2.0 Active Multimedia Speaker. Built as a compact and elegant 2.0 speaker system, it’s designed to deliver balanced sound for music, movies, and casual gaming—so you can enjoy more detail from your smartphone, laptop, or other audio sources. With a total RMS output of 24W (12W + 12W), this active speaker setup is a practical choice when you want stronger sound than typical built-in laptop speakers, without needing a complicated multi-speaker arrangement.

Balanced Audio Tuning with 1-inch Tweeter & 4-inch Mid-Low Driver

The R990BT is engineered with a 1-inch tweeter for crisp treble and a 4-inch mid-low driver to support deeper bass response. This combination helps maintain clarity across different audio ranges, making it suitable for everything from vocal-focused tracks to action scenes in movies. The frequency response spans 60Hz to 18kHz, which means you can hear both low-end impact and high-end detail with a more natural overall balance—ideal for daily listening, study sessions, and entertainment at home.

Bluetooth V5.4 for Stable Wireless Streaming

Enjoy convenient wireless playback using Bluetooth V5.4, which supports stable streaming for compatible devices. The speaker is designed to work with the SBC codec, helping you connect quickly and play audio without the clutter of cables. If you often switch between devices—like moving from a phone to a laptop—Bluetooth connectivity makes the Edifier R990BT a simple, everyday audio upgrade for desks, living rooms, and small office spaces.

Flexible Wired Inputs: Line In 1 & Line In 2

For wired connections, the speaker provides Line In 1 and Line In 2 inputs, giving you flexibility for different setups. This is especially useful if you want a more consistent connection for PCs, TVs, or other audio sources that may not be your primary Bluetooth device. Having dual Line-In options also makes it easier to manage multiple sources in one room—such as keeping a computer connected while still being able to plug in a second device when needed.

Clean Sound with High SNR and Practical Compatibility

The Edifier R990BT features an SNR of at least 85dB(A), supporting noise-free listening with improved signal clarity. It also lists an input sensitivity range of 450–700 mV, which helps the speaker stay compatible with a wide variety of audio outputs. Compared to basic speaker systems with lower noise performance, this higher SNR specification is beneficial when you listen at moderate volumes for long periods—helping keep audio cleaner and more enjoyable for music, movies, and gaming sessions.

Compact Build with Room-Friendly Dimensions

Each speaker measures 140 x 226 x 197 mm and weighs 3.44 kg, making the system compact enough for most desks while still delivering meaningful power. This size balance is convenient for home offices and bedrooms where space is limited, yet you still want a noticeable audio upgrade. The modern, sleek design also helps it blend naturally into different interior styles.

Who Should Buy the Edifier R990BT?

Choose the Edifier R990BT 2.0 Active Multimedia Speaker if you want a reliable, easy-to-use speaker system with both Bluetooth V5.4 wireless convenience and dual wired Line-In options. It’s a strong fit for students, remote workers, and casual gamers who need clear sound without complex setup. If you’re comparing it to entry-level speakers, the 24W RMS total output, 60Hz–18kHz frequency response, and high SNR make it a more confident pick for everyday entertainment and improved listening quality.
