Description

Edifier R1850DB Active Bookshelf Bluetooth Speaker for Clear Everyday Audio

The Edifier R1850DB is a compact active bookshelf Bluetooth speaker designed to deliver balanced sound for home listening, desk setups, and casual movie or music sessions. With a rated power output of 21W + 21W RMS (R/L), it’s built to fill typical rooms with confident volume without needing an external amplifier. Whether you’re streaming playlists from your phone or connecting a laptop for work and study, this model focuses on straightforward connectivity and a frequency range of 55Hz–20kHz for a wide spread of bass, midrange, and treble detail.

Bluetooth Streaming with Stable Input Options

Enjoy wireless listening through Bluetooth (listed as Bluetooth: 550±50mFFS in the provided specifications). For wired use, the speaker supports multiple input types including 1/4”, AUX, RCA, and Bluetooth v4.0. This makes the R1850DB practical for different devices—smartphones for quick pairing, laptops for video calls and media, and audio sources with RCA/AUX outputs for a more traditional connection. If you switch between devices often, having both wireless and wired inputs helps you keep your setup flexible.

Sound Signature Built on 4-inch Midrange & Bass and 1/2-inch Treble

The driver configuration is tuned for everyday clarity: a 4" (116mm) midrange & bass unit paired with a 1/2 inch (13mm) treble unit. The larger mid/bass driver supports fuller low-end presence and helps vocals and instruments sound more grounded, while the smaller treble driver is intended to keep high-frequency details crisp. Compared to smaller mini speakers, this bookshelf design generally offers a more satisfying sense of body in music and better intelligibility for spoken audio—especially when you’re listening at desk distance or in a living room corner.

Power, Frequency Response, and Noise Performance

With a frequency response of 55Hz–20kHz, the R1850DB covers the range you need for music enjoyment and general multimedia use, from deeper bass notes to clear upper harmonics. The provided noise level is 25dB(A), supporting a quieter background for more comfortable listening during long sessions. For users who care about clean audio during work—such as reading, writing, or video conferencing—lower noise helps reduce distractions and keeps the sound more focused.

Practical Setup: Inputs, Power, and Everyday Use

This active speaker is designed for easy integration into common home setups. Use Bluetooth for quick streaming, or choose AUX/RCA/1/4” when you want a wired connection for consistent playback. The 21W + 21W RMS output is well-suited for bedrooms, study rooms, and small-to-medium spaces where you want strong volume without complicated equipment. If you’re building a simple audio station, the R1850DB can pair naturally with a laptop, TV audio output (via the appropriate connection), or a dedicated music player—helping you keep cables and switching manageable.

Warranty Coverage

The Edifier R1850DB comes with a 1 Year Warranty, giving you added confidence for everyday use and helping protect your investment as you enjoy Bluetooth speaker performance at home.
